With its 1.38 billion inhabitants, the Indian railway and metro market is one of Autolift’s main markets. There are currently 50 megacities of which Mumbai is the largest with 21 million inhabitants. In order to cope with the huge volume of traffic, Mumbai’s first metro line was opened in June 2014 and in 2019 Autolift was commissioned with the development and construction of an underfloor lifting system for a 6-car train. The underfloor lifting system consists of 12 bogie jacks and 24 body support frames. Assembly was carried out at the Mumbai Metro Charkop Depot by Autolift and its Indian partner Vandhana International Pvt. ltd After commissioning and successful acceptance, the system was handed over to the satisfied end customer.
