Bogie drop table

Due to limited accessibility, on some rail vehicles the connections of the bogie to the car body can only be released in the raised state. This is not a problem with underfloor systems, as these usually consist of a car body lift and a bogie lift.

The situation is different with mobile lifting jacks. Mobile jacks require a bogie drop table, to lower the bogies separately. This is used to support the bogie to be removed from below before the connections to the chassis are loosened. Then the connections are loosened, the bogie is lowered down and moved out from under the lifted vehicle. Depending on the customer’s requirements, rail-mounted bogie drop table or free-moving models are used. They can be self-propelled or manually movable.
