AUTOLIFT Group Acquires SOBAtec GmbH – Successful Project Partnership Becomes Corporate Union
Autolift GmbH, a leading manufacturer of lifting systems for rail vehicles headquartered in Elixhausen near Salzburg and a portfolio company of CAPCELLENCE, an industrial mid-market investor based in Hamburg, announces the complete acquisition of SOBAtec GmbH from Kamenz, Saxony. Effective June 22, 2026, SOBAtec has been officially integrated into the Autolift Group.
The merger creates a provider that will be able to offer lifting systems and roof working platforms as an integrated overall solution for modern maintenance facilities from a single source.
A Joint Major Project as the Starting Point
Following the successful joint completion of a significant major project for ÖBB Technische Services GmbH in the Vienna district of Floridsdorf – realized under the umbrella of the specially founded "ARGE Hebeanlage und Arbeitsbühnen Floridsdorf" (working group for lifting systems and working platforms) – Autolift GmbH and SOBAtec GmbH have taken the next logical step in their partnership and have now grown into a lasting corporate union.
Succession Secured, Continuity Guaranteed
With this strategic acquisition, the AUTOLIFT Group expands its capacity to three production sites, while also establishing a future-proof and sustainable succession solution for SOBAtec's management. The proven leadership team will continue to lead the company in the coming years with its many years of expertise and deep industry knowledge, ensuring continuity and reliability. The production site in Kamenz will continue to operate and develop as an independent unit within the Autolift Group.
