Bogie Carrier

In most rail maintenance workshops, moving bogies depends on resources that many workstations have to share. A forklift needs a certified operator, and one isn't always on shift. An overhead crane isn't installed above every bay, and while it's lifting, the area underneath is blocked for other work. Shunting is bound to the track layout and only reaches positions where rails are laid. Each of these dependencies creates waiting time, and in maintenance, waiting time means longer vehicle downtime.

One Operator, No Waiting

The Bogie Carrier was designed to remove exactly these dependencies. It's operated by a single person and moves the bogie freely across the workshop floor. It needs no crane runway, no track and no certified forklift driver. Bogies can be moved between disassembly, cleaning, inspection, wheelset machining and reassembly at the moment the next step is due. Cranes and forklifts stay available for the tasks that really need them.

More Flexibility in Workshop Layout

Because the Bogie Carrier isn't tied to tracks or crane runways, your workshop can arrange its workstations around the process rather than the existing infrastructure. Areas without crane coverage become fully usable working and parking space for bogies. This makes a real difference where space is limited, or in older halls that were never planned for today's throughput.
